APPLICATION FOR NEW TRUSTEE AT ROGERS FREE LIBRARY
The Board of Trustees at Rogers Free Library is searching for a new Trustee to serve on the Board effective January 2023. Terms of service for Trustees are three years with an option to renew for an additional three years. Trustees must be residents of Bristol, Rhode Island.
The role of a Trustee is to function as an advocate for, and steward of, the library. Trustees are responsible for advancing the mission and vision of Rogers Free Library, assisting in the preparation of the annual budget, hiring and evaluating the Director, and providing general governance of the library. As Trustees of a municipal library, we are bound by the Rhode Island Code of Ethics and the regulations of the Rhode Island Ethics Commission.
The ideal applicant is a library enthusiast, enjoys working collaboratively, and is eager to promote Rogers Free Library within the community.
